Come explore the endless possibilities of gypsy junk jewelry with Somerset Studio Director’s Circle Artist: Lisa Guerin. This unique style of jewelry design combines art stamps, shrink film and lots of little bits of junk, of course!! In class we will create one of a kind treasures and discover many delights along the way! We will learn the tricks and techniques of working with shrink film, while making lots of gypsy trinkets. Then we will design and create our jewelry pieces. Lisa will also show us how to create findings and extra pieces out of ordinary junk. Finally everyone will create a display board for their gypsy junk jewelry.
Students are encouraged to bring any kind of jewelry bits, single earrings, broken pieces, charms, buttons, and other junk to incorporate into their designs.
