Let go of realism and embrace your personal, expressive style while painting beautiful florals in acrylic/mixed media. Paint with vibrant color and innovative compositions. Artists at any level (even beginners!) will learn innovative techniques in a relaxed setting. Techniques taught include: unique underpaintings, creative color, making the most of value, and incorporating mixed media.
In this workshop you will learn about personalizing your still life paintings through expressive choices. I will bring a variety of mixed media materials and tools for you to try out in your paintings.

Acrylic Glazing Medium or Acrylic Matte Medium
Golden or Liquitex Acrylic Heavy Body Paints- cadmium yellow light, cadmium yellow
medium, ultramarine blue, phthalo green blue shade, cadmium red medium, cadmium
red light, quinacridone magenta, titanium white
Paper towels or rags
Plastic palette or a few disposable palette sheets or parchment paper for mixing paint.
Painting surface- canvas or panel 16” × 20” or larger
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Annie is a full-time professional painter in Santa Fe, NM. She shows her work in galleries and teaches painting workshops in her Santa Fe studio, at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Ghost Ranch and other venues across the country. She
recently published her first book “Bold Expressive Painting-Painting Techniques for Still
Lifes, Florals and Landscapes in Mixed Media” along with three videos on expressive
mixed media painting through Northlight Publishing.
