"Alexis is the new store manager for A Work of Heart.  She has been teaching for about four years now, primarily with A Work of Heart studio.  However, she has been enjoying a life of creativity since she was little. It all began with Mom's stinky markers, paper clips and rubberbands.  Years later, she found herself making jewelry, but never felt fully satisfied with the pieces she created. She discovered a Simply Swank starter kit for soldering and was instantly inspired to take her skills to a whole new level.  After mastering soldering, she began to play with PMC, polymer clay, stamping, mixed media projects, sewing and the list is constantly evolving.  It?s how so many of us become Mixed Media artists right?!

In addition to Alexis' love of hand made arts and crafts, she is a huge advocate for the four legged creatures, domestic and wildlife.  She is actively involved as a volunteer with Humane Society Silicon Valley, where she formerly worked for eight years.

She is very excited for the opportunity to share what she has learned and to encourage others to embrace their inner creativity!
