MDF panels are great for painting, mounting, encaustic, mixed media and as a board for drawing and watercolor. It provides a hard, smooth surface that is strong and light-weight. Create an archival surface by applying the appropriate ground for your project. Prime both sides of the panel, store it flat and frame finished work to prevent warping.
